====== EyeLink Ethernet Connection ======

The EyeLink Ethernet port is reported (Aug 2020) to be [[https://www.sr-research.com/support/thread-197.html|"full" gigabit"]] ⩵ 1000Mbps. 

The EyeLink host defaults to ''100.1.1.1''. This can be changed but is assumed in many of EyeLink's tools. Because the P1 and P2 control room task PCs already interface with [[hardware:eyetracking:avotec]] over a fixed ''10.x.x.x'' IP,  "EPrime"/task PCs on [[:scan:p1|Prisma 1]] and [[:scan:p2]] have two network port. You'll need to make sure you've plugged the EyeLink Host PC into the the port labeled "EyeLink." See more on [[hardware:eyetracking:eyelink:taskpc_setup|EyeLink Task Computer Setup]].

===== BYOD =====

If you're bringing your own laptop, you will need
  - a wired ethernet port to connect to the tracker's ''Host PC''
  - to set the laptop's wired interface's IP address to ''100.1.1.2''
    * Ask IT to add your laptop user to the ''Network Configuration Operators'' group
    * Change the IP by running ''control.exe ncpa.cpl''
